“Everything, Everything” Movie Release.

As you may have seen, from the copious advertisements, Nicola Yoon’s 2015 novel Everything, Everything, has been made into a movie.

The movie stars Amandla Stenberg(Hunger Games) as Maddie Whittier, and Nick Robinson(Jurassic World) as Olly Bright. Other members of the cast including Anika Noni Rose(The Princess And The Frog), as Maddie’s Mom, Pauline, and Ana de la Reguera(Narcos) as Maddie’s nurse Carla.

This movie looks like it’s going to be really great, hopefully one of those few cases where the movie is better than the book.  Amandla Stenberg was a fantastic Rue in the Hunger Games I loved Nick Robinson in Jurassic World, and I’m really excited to be able to see more of him. I think both of these actors are amazing and I can’t wait to see what they bring to this new story. You can catch my review of the novel here, next Friday. The film enters a theater near you today, May 19th, 2017.

Please let me know what you think of the movie down in the comments!

The Selection, The Movie!

Hey, it’s Liv. I, again, have exciting news. Another one of my favorite series have been chosen to become a movie! Warner Bros. has won the rights to The Selection series by Keira Cass.

The Selection Series Banner

The Selection is the first book in the five novel Selection series. The last two book focus on descendants of the main characters. For those of you who don’t know, The Selection follows 35 girls, one from each region of Illea, the country that once was America, as they participate in a competition that will decide who is the next queen and will rule beside the young and handsome Prince Maxon.

The Selection The Elite The One Stacked Face Banner

Allison Greenspan and Denise DiNovi of DiNovi Pictures’ will produce the movie alongside Pouya Shahbazian. Katie Lovejoy is set to adapt the novel for the big screen.

Katie Lovejoy wrote the script for The Arsonist Love Story made the 2010 Blacklist. I’m really excited to see where this goes, hopefully this will make it to the big screen, because there have been two attempts by The CW to make it a television show, which, ultimately, never made it past the pilot. So sad. Anyway, I will try to update you guys as fast as possible on any news that is released. Are you guys as excited about this as I am? Who would you cast for the main characters? Also, don’t forget to pick up The Heir by Kiera Cass on May 5th!
